Walkthrough:

Here's my nifty ninja stance... Waaaaah... Ok I'm glad I got that out of the way. Start with the left leg forward and wind it back far. This gives you the major momentum needed to perform this trick as if you were a huracane blasting through an occupied city of smurfs (it will make it easier gosh).
You put your left foot in and you shake it all about. Keep your hands up but relaxed; we as martial artists always need to keep up our defense. It also makes the trick look tighter.
Lift that right leg and make sure your left knee is slightly bent and ready to push. Stay relaxed... breath in, breath out... yeah that's it.
Now push off the ground very slightly with that left leg. This is still to get more momentum.
Start bringing down the right knee and make sure to turn to the left to get your foot turned over.
Put your left foot down and notice how my right foot is starting to face in the opposite direction. You'll also want to bend your knees farther to get a higher jump. Also, at this point you'll want to start turning your arms, shoulders, hips, body, vertabrae, knee caps, everything to left and fast - as a mongoose.
Continue the turn and lift the left leg and start to extend the right knee to get a high jump. You really want to throw that left leg up hard to give you the needed momentum.
Notice how far my right foot is turned over and how I am up on my toes. That is how you will jump higher is with the ball of your foot and pushing hard off of your knees.
Now start to bend your left leg to get it tucked in and your right leg should be coming to kick and fast. Take note to where my hands are.
Weeeee I'm sitting down in the air ha ha ha ha. Here my left leg is tucking in tighter and my right leg is still on it's way to full extention. Keep in mind that I'm still twisting hard here.
Ah... there it is... the kick. Kinda brings a tear to my eye. Notice here how tucked my left leg is and my body is still upright and not to the side. Many people have a hard time actually getting their kick out on this trick. You need to imagine your worst enemy at your head level and kick the living snot out of their face, yeah!
Now here the kick needs to continue and swipe across your body and in front of you. Notice how my body is staying in the same position as my leg follows through, but don't worry my body will follow - it will follow.
Here my kick is finishing and my foot is getting ready to land. DON'T FREAK OUT AT THIS POINT! Stay relaxed and make sure to keep your left leg off the ground. Curl it in and don't let the fear take over; it's all in your head.
We made it. It's land... I mean the landing. Very important, keep your right knee bent. If you land with your knee straight you can cause some serious problems to your knee. Also, start twisting your upper body around, quickly.
See how bent my knee is, I told you. Keep the left leg off the ground and continue the motion around to the left.
Now keep your upper body turning and start putting your left leg down in the front again.
Pivot on your right foot to face the front in a nice little fighting stance. I love this trick so much. This is the trick that made me want to be a better man. I don't know what that means, but i do know that i love tricking.

Similar Tricks: Advice:
  • Don't give up. This trick took me a while and it was frusterating. Don't worry about it. You have to keep at it though.
  • Relax your non-kicking leg.
  • Spin fast with your shoulders and don't slow down.
  • Concentrate on the kick following through, not landing on one foot.
